- Mark - as a parent of two that are in public school in Oregon, I can tell you that the teachers that my kids have had here are caring and hard working. The amount of time and out of pocket costs that most teachers here put into the kids is amazing.

- Don't know where you got the idea that the census jobs paid $17.50 /hr- I applied for a part time postion to add some padding to my thin bank account, and was told that it paid -tops- $10 to 12/hr. Just a thought.

I was cut from a job in October and managed to get re-hired at a office that I had worked for last year, but left when my hours got cut to 24 a week, and then the job after cut their staff after I was there for 3 …

- OMG - this is truly scary. I am now in a program to become a CNA and then head onto a LPN, and I am doing this at the ripe old age of 46 - so that I can have a job that won't and can't be shipped out of this country.
